April Showers to May Flowers

The rain we received in April turned the calendar to May and brings a beautiful reminder of renewal, growth, and appreciation. Spring settles in and brings fresh energy and the perfect opportunity to recognize the people who nurture and support us every day. Mother’s Day is a heartfelt moment to honor the care, strength, and love that mothers and mother figures share so generously. It encourages us to pause and express gratitude for those who have shaped our lives with kindness and resilience.

This month also invites us to reflect on deeper values through Memorial Day, a time to remember and honor the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. It’s more than just a long weekend - it’s a meaningful occasion to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy, and to acknowledge the courage and dedication of those who protected them. Taking time to remember their legacy helps us stay grounded in gratitude and unity.

May is a gentle blend of celebration and reflection. It encourages us to appreciate both the joy of connection and the importance of remembrance. As the days grow warmer and brighter, let this month inspire you to show appreciation, extend kindness, and carry forward a spirit of gratitude in both small gestures and meaningful moments.

Extend a warm welcome to other women to share in the benefits of ABWA. Be a mentor and invite other women into this organization, during the last weeks of ABWA’s spring enrollment campaign. You will also earn a reward for showing your appreciation.
